Edits

After my group feedback, I had a few changes to make.

Firstly, I added the status bar to the top of all the app pages that I had done. This will help them to look more realistic when I come to creating a mockup.

I also added a bit more information onto the bottom of my poster, which would advertize the website and app so people would know where to look at the full solar system.

I made a small app logo to add onto the bottom of my poster.

I think that the app logo at the bottom of the screen is very distracting from the main image as the light colour of Jupiter pulls focus from the rest of it. I am also not a very big fan of the design of my app logo so I think that I will leave it completely out.

app logo

Instead of using the app logo, I also tried out creating a QR code and placing that at the bottom. This way the poster would become sort of interactive as the user could scan the code and be taken straight to the app where they could see the full version of the space-time warp.

Again, I felt that the white background was very distracting from the rest of the poster. I didn’t want this as I wanted my poster to look fairly minimalistic and easy to understand without much clutter on the page. I felt that the QR code took up too much space down the bottom and made the poster look bottom heavy so I got rid of this too.

I think that I will leave the poster as just having the link to the website and app at the bottom of the page. I think that this looks better than having either the app logo or QR code as it spaces out the page better.

Group feedback

I made a short presentation to show the group my work for feedback which you can see here –> space presentation

This feedback was useful, as I not only got feedback from the group on my own ideas, I also managed to get a bit of inspiration from other group members work on little things, for example, adding in the top status bar at the top of the apps, or creating an app logo for the app store. All of this was useful.

A piece of feedback I received was that the perspectives on the website were slightly off, although worked, and to counteract this I could make my website 3D. This would involve more interactivity where the user would drag around and see the whole planet from every side. I think that this would be good and would make it even more interesting for my target audience.

I also asked the group whether they understood what my website was trying to explain with the grids as I was previously unsure about whether this was understandable. The feedback that I received was positive and so I will keep it this way.

There are still a few changes that I would like to make to my designs but only minimal ones. I may also try and create a logo for my app.
